Joseph D. Heller, Jr.
Joe, a Virginia native, was born in 1948. He served his country during the Vietnam era and earned a Purple Heart in 1969. He has always been incredibly talented and has even had his works displayed at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D. C. Although gifted in all realms of art, his main focus has always been graphics. He was inspired by the likes of Von Dutch, Big daddy Ed Roth,George Barris, Carl Casper, Gene Winfield... anyone in the Old School art of Hot Rods. You can also see the influences of the masters like Michelangelo and Vermeer. He has studied the styles of Vargas and the more recent works of Olivia. He spent many days of his youth walking the corridors of our local museums, absorbing every detail of the art works he saw. After returning home from Nam he attended VCU for a short time, then he set out to producing his own creations. Joe and I met in 1992. Until that time there was not a record of all that he has done. This site is a small collection of the record I have kept. I believe in him and his works. I believe in his works because they are good, I believe in him because I love him.
